Walkers are spoilt for choice as the Wolds Way and Cleveland Way, both enjoying stunning coastal scenery, are close by. Filey is a short drive from the cottages, with its fantastic beach and lovely promenade.  Whitby, Scarborough, Flamborough Head and the traditional seaside resort of Bridlington, are also just a short car ride away. The North Yorkshire Moors National Park is close by, where you can catch the steam train and travel over the moors from Pickering to Whitby. The RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs is worth a visit too,  puffins, gannets and kittiwakes are just a few of the thousands of migrating sea birds you can regularly spot here.
